Well, you all hoped and prayed and texted and emailed and asked our team repeatedly throughout the past year, “When is Free Dining coming?!” To which we replied, “If 2015 is any indication of what is to come in 2016…” yada yada yada …”We have zero guarantees…” etc. Honestly, we were prepared for this years’ release to look more like the beginning of the end of Free Dining, but SURPRISE, this year the release is really great. Disney didn’t add more requirements than the 2015 offer and they didn’t pull back any of the meal entitlements. Score!
Now that it’s official that fall of 2016 will be filled with never-ending yumminess, let’s talk about whether or not it’s worth it. Because really, isn’t that the actual question?
My answer is yes. Maybe.
If you love trying new things and dining is a vital part of your vacation experience and memories, then this is an offer worth jumping on FAST. I do not EVER order dessert with my meals twice a day, but at Disney on the dining plan. It’s a treat. Moreover, it’s an experience that I cherish. Would I have ordered that Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake at the 50’s Prime Time Cafe after already noshing on onion rings, a sampler platter of heavenly fried chicken, pot roast and meatloaf and a diet vanilla coke? No way, Jose. But when you have the Disney Dining Plan, vacation is all about indulging.
If food isn’t your thang, then honestly, don’t opt for the free dining promo. We can always look for a great room only discount to save you moolah instead. The best fit for one family certainly isn’t the best fit for everyone so don’t be persuaded by the masses– do what is right for you.
Love snacks? I’m a Dole Whip girl myself. This Dole Whip Float is TOTALLY included as a part of the free dining offer. Get one. No wait. Get 5. Get 36. They are THAT yummy! And *almost* entirely guilt-free too. I might even throw in a gift card so you can buy extra Dole Whips if you book with us. You know, because Dole Whip. There are just no adequate words. 😉 Now read on about the fine print and then send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to book that free dining trip for this fall. Really. Do it. You’ll thank me later after you’ve tried the Quattro Formaggi pizza at Via Napoli in Epcot and washed it down with a Frozen Elephant. Don’t know what any of that even means…email me already! 😉
